This fascinating silver coin is dedicated to Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen, the German physicist who produced and detected radiation in wavelengths now called X-rays. This spectacular set of experiments earned him the very first Nobel Prize in Physics in 1901. Röntgen passed away in 1923 on the 10th of February.
