On the obverse side that is antiqued silver, the coat of arms of the Republic of Chad is found and is situated within the mouth opening of the T-Rex fossil. On the left side of the emblem, the year of issue “2023” and “REPUBLIQUE DU TCHAD” are inscribed. In the slim space between the jaw bones on the right, the coin’s “5000 FRANCS CFA” face value appears.

On the reverse side, the full fossilized skull of a Tyrannosaurus Rex with battered teeth is depicted in ultra-high relief. The bones are embedded in a stone textured surface that is rendered in pop-art color, which transitions in vivid shades of blue, green, yellow, orange, and red. “TYRANNOSAURUS REX” is inscribed in the stone, following the curve of the lower jaw bone.

This ultra-high relief 2023 Republic of Chad Tyrannosaurus Rex Fossil 5,000 Francs coin is presented in ungraded condition.
