This silver coin, minted at the Bavarian State Mint, is a special edition with a privy mark for the 2023 World Money Fair just concluded in Berlin. The ‘African Wildlife Series’ is characterized by an annually changing motive and is very popular worldwide. African elephants are the largest land animals on the earth, with no known natural predators once they’ve reached adulthood. This majestic animal graces the reverse of each coin with a design that changes annually, making it desirable by collectors. At the edge of the coin are the inscriptions “AFRICAN WILDLIFE” and “ELEPHANT”, “1 oz” and the fineness “Ag 999.9”. The reverse shows the Somalian state coat of arms.
