Through an unbelievably detailed topographical smartminting relief and a selective color application, the different rock strata in the Andes are clearly defined. The snow and ice capped summit on this fantastic silver coin is surrounded by green and red hues of limestone, carbonates, ash deposits and volcanic rocks. With an impressive 6962 meters altitude (22841 feet), the Aconcagua is one of the less well known seven summits but it certainly is one of the most spectacular ones. It is the highest mountain in South America and is located near Mendoza, Argentina.
